The annual street party is back.
The Newtown Good Food Fair is a celebration of the area's diverse food and drink scene.
There will also be live entertainment, and kids activities fundraising to support the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre.
The event is run by the Newtown Precinct Business Association (NPBA).
Newtown Festival is an event run by the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre to raise funds to support people at risk of homelessness in the inner west and to protect the "Newtown vibe". Every little bit helps even your donation at the gate!
2017 will be Newtown Locals fourth appearance at the festival. All the locals involved share a passion for Newtown and everything it stands for. They put their time, produce and profits from the festival every year to help Newtown Neighbourhood Centre.
This year's menu theme will be based on a Summer BBQ with options available for carnivores and herbivores alike plus some sweet treats! Dishes will range from $5 - $10 (so you'll be able to try 'em all).
A sneak-peek of the collaborative menu we're currently working on will be introduced at the Newtown Locals launch party held at Young Henrys as well as the winner of this years T-shirt Comp. More details about this to follow.
NEWTOWN LOCALS LOCATION:
We'll be situated under the trees, next to the LaToosh Stage (Federation Road side of the park). There will be seating this year for you to sit back and enjoy everything the Locals have to offer.
Due to the overwhelming success of 2014, the eclectic posse of local faces and places that makes up the Newtown Locals is this year returning to the 37th annual Newtown Festival - with an even bigger and more impressive line up.
Synonymous within the community as keepers of a proud track record of local engagement, Newtown Locals can’t wait to open their doors to the masses in Camperdown Park on Sunday the 8th of November for Sydney’s 37th annual Newtown Festival!
