Home is where the heart is.
Music, art, food, friends, fun....welcome to Newtown Festival.
Whether you’re local or a tourist, Newtown feels like home. Our festival welcomes the world to our world and shows off what's so special about our beloved suburb. Diverse, vibrant, eclectic, creative - our home is your home, come join us.
The Newtown Locals will work in groups to create five dishes – all available at only $10. You’ll also have a great choice of beverages with wine from Dandy in the Clos and Sparrow and Vine, Young Henrys gin, house made Fleetwood Macchiato sodas and coffee from 2042’s finest cafés.
They're located in a prime position this year, under the trees, next to the LaToosh Stage (Federation Road side of the park) so you can hang with them all day if you like. This is their third appearance at the festival and these guys donate all of their time, produce and profits to the Newtown Neighborhood Centre, providing real help for inner west homelessness.
There’s so much other food you'll be hard pressed to make a decision. Vegetarian, carnivores, vegan, sweet lovers and much more – no matter you’re craving, it’s all here! Over 40 food stalls with yummy stuff from all over the planet so eat up!
No one will be far from a great beverage at the festival with five bars gracing the park. Here's a taste of what's on offer:
Young Henry's Newtowner, Young Henry's Cloudy Cider, Noble Cut Gin & Tonic, Vodka Lemonade and Lime and Newtown Punchbowl. Wines by Sparrow and Vine, Krinklewood, DRNKS, For the Dandy in the Clos (charity wine project in Newtown Locals area).
